Amanda started at SEI in January 2017. She is collaborating with the United Nations Environment Management Group to plan and support a series of four Nexus Dialogues.
Amanda is a current M.A. candidate in Urban and Environmental Policy at Tufts University and has specific interests in community engagement, disaster risk reduction and water policy. She completed her B.A. degrees in biology, environmental science and sociology at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her previous professional experience includes working as a Natural Hazard Mitigation Planning Associate at the University of Oregon and as a Program Coordinator with the Student Conservation Association. She is striving for a career as a facilitator of data- and resident-driven decision-making for community resilience.
