Transforming Governance

SEI develops strategies to help communities break out of the poverty trap, through innovations in governance and management at the local and regional level.

SEI helps to:

• advance knowledge on multiple drivers, shocks and stresses in relation to abrupt change and social crises
• provide policy support and advice on how to attain sustainable livelihoods under high stress conditions
• develop strategies that help reach the ultimate Millennium Development Goals of eradicating poverty and hunger by 2030
